U2 will play the halftime show of the Thanksgiving Eve game between the Green Bay Packers and the host Los Angeles Rams.
The game takes place at SoFi Stadium on November 25 at 8pm ET, with Netflix streaming the matchup.
The Irish rock band is hoping to have another "Beautiful Day" on the football field, with the booking coming nearly a quarter-century after U2 played at halftime of Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002.
The performance also lands as the band marks 50 years since its formation in Dublin in 1976.
Netflix has brought the star power during holiday NFL games recently.

"There's a reason U2 has headlined stadiums for decades: They don't just perform, they deliver iconic moments audiences remember forever," Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said in a statement. "We're thrilled that they'll bring that same magic to the NFL stage on Netflix."
The news of U2’s return to the NFL stage comea amidst reports that Jay-Z has chosen himself to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in 2027.
Sources told Puck News that the rapper thought he was a more compelling pick compared to Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, who were both believed to be frontrunners for the event.
Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation signed a deal with the NFL in 2019 to curate and produce the halftime show. Last year, Puerto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny headlined the show.
Fans will be hoping that if Jay-Z does perform, his wife Beyoncé will join him onstage, perhaps for a rendition of their 2003 song “Crazy in Love.”
Beyoncé headlined the halftime show at the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans, and she returned as a special guest alongside Bruno Mars during Coldplay’s headlining performance at the 2016 Super Bowl in Santa Clara.
Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, recently performed a string of successful live shows, including two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium in July.
The Independent has contacted Roc Nation for comment.
