Millions across the Northeast are rising to whiteout conditions, heavy winds and power outages as a powerful nor'easter slams states from Delaware to Massachusetts on Monday, Feb. 23.
Snow could fall at a rate of 2-3 inches per hour across the Mid-Atlantic and New England through the evening, according to the National Weather Service's update at 5 a.m. ET on Feb. 23.
Officials in states including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Delaware declared states of emergency to mobilize extra resources throughout the storm. Some even enacted travel bans during the blizzard's peak period.
