Metallica finally confirmed the long-gestating rumor they will, in fact, storm the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Their residency, dubbed Life Burns Faster, will play an initial eight dates: Oct. 1 and 3, 15 and 17, 22 and 24 and 29 and 31.
The band will also continue its No Repeat Weekend tradition that began with the kickoff of their M72 World Tour, with no songs repeated on each Thursday and Saturday throughout the course of the run.
Ticket registration is open now at metallica.lnk.to/MetallicaSphere. Tickets for two-night No Repeat Weekends as well as single-night tickets will go on sale at 1 p.m. ET March 6.

Metallica will hit the Las Vegas Sphere in fall 2026.
The band – James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo – plans to include their live staples as well as surprises from their catalog throughout the residency.
Metallica has hinted at a Sphere residency for months in interviews and, says Ulrich in a release accompanying the announcement, their plans have been brewing for years.
“About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!’ This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way (expletive) psyched to go next level!”
