A nasty blizzard can't keep Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos from heating up their New York City set for too long, as *Live With Kelly & Mark* welcomed a studio audience back to its Manhattan set for the first time since a wild local snowstorm led to a temporary travel ban in the area.

"Welcome! Happy hump day!" Ripa said at the top of Wednesday's show, looking out toward a live studio audience for the first time since last week.

Consuelos added, "Got into the car this morning, snowing again!" while Ripa observed that it's still "snowy out there" before asking the audience, "How did you get in? How did you make it in?"

Monday and Tuesday's live telecasts saw the cohosting couple perform their morning duties without a typical crowd of fans in the studio, with members of the crew instead filling select seats throughout the risers.

"Did you remind the new CEO [of ABC parent company Disney, Josh D'Amaro] that we shoot this show in Palm Springs in the winter?" Ripa joked on Wednesday, looking toward producer Michael Gelman. "He should know that from January to March we move this show, as we all know, to Palm Springs!"

Ripa's joke came days after Gelman was actually prevented from appearing on Monday's broadcast after getting "stuck in Florida" amid the snowstorm that pelted the northeast with several inches of snow and dreary conditions.

Consuelos noted the absence of the audience, before telling viewers at home, "Here in New York, we're under a travel ban. It started last night at 9 p.m., it's going until noon today. That means if you're not an emergency vehicle or somebody that needs to be here essentially, get off the roads."

*Live* isn't the only show to have nixed its studio audience amid weather drama in New York City. *The View *also continued without a live studio audience on Monday and Tuesday, with moderator Whoopi Goldberg even getting snowed in at her home, forcing her to join the telecast virtually at the top of the week.

New York City's mayor, Zohran Mamdani, previously announced the travel ban over the weekend and declared a state of emergency in the area. "The state of emergency closes the streets, highways, and bridges of New York City for all traffic, cars, trucks, scooters, and shuts down traffic with some specific exemptions for essential and emergency movement," the mayor said, per local news.
