John Oliver has weighed in on the viral arrest photo of the ex-Prince Andrew in the car in a recent interview. The comedian and television host left the audience in stitches with his hilarious reaction to the image.

John Oliver appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, where he mocked the now-viral arrest photo of ex-Prince Andrew. A longtime critic of the Royal Family, the television host admitted to being “so glad [the arrest] happened.”

When Meyers showed the viral image, Oliver quipped, “I think it might be one of the best photos ever taken.” The comedian joked, “You know, towards the end of the year, they do kind of a photo of the year. And it’s often like a frog leaping off a lily pad, or you know, an eagle in flight with something in its mouth. Sure. Is it gonna be better than that?”

Oliver further added, “I would say credit to Range Rover as a car. They’re doing something with their windshield. That means somehow, you can get kind of get cameras to shoot the Windsor Family at their worst moments so beautifully. That thousand-yard stare with Dr. Evil hands. There’s nothing I don’t love about it.”

Ex-Prince Andrew was arrested on Thursday at King Charles III’s Sandringham Estate. Authorities took him into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office, linked to his association with Jeffrey Epstein. When he was later released from Aylsham Police Station in Norfolk, Mountbatten-Windsor was photographed sitting in the back seat of a car with a stunned expression on his face. The image quickly became a viral meme.

Meyers and Oliver both shared a laugh about the photo, with Meyers comparing it to “a vampire going back into the coffin.” Oliver then concluded, “What’s been so confounding about the Epstein Files is seeing people who feel they’re untouchable, not being touched. I think seeing someone like that, in that position, is why I love that image so much. I think it’s high art.”
