Hailey Bieber has never shied away from being open about her health, and her latest conversation is no exception.

In a new episode of the SHE MD podcast, the model and Rhode founder sat down with hosts Mary Alice Haney and Dr. Thais Aliabadi to discuss everything from a mini-stroke she experienced at 25 to the surprisingly complicated road to welcoming sonJack Blues, whom she shares with husband Justin Bieber.

And when it came to the pregnancy itself? Bieber had one word for it: a surprise.

Hailey Bieber Was Told Getting Pregnant Could 'Be an Issue'

Doctors had previously told Bieber that getting pregnant could "be an issue" due to a septum in her uterus — a thin wall of tissue that can divide the uterine cavity, sometimes making conception or carrying a pregnancy more complicated. Despite that, Bieber found herself expecting anyway.

The uterine septum also came with conversations about miscarriage risk, she revealed, and her care team monitored her throughout the pregnancy for preterm risk. She explained that standard ultrasounds can miss a septum entirely, which is why 3D imaging can make such a significant difference for diagnosis — something she hopes other women will keep in mind when advocating for their own care.

The delivery itself brought additional scares. Bieber recalled a harrowing postpartum hemorrhage moment, describing the fear of sensing panic in the room around her and asking the medical team whether she was okay. Dr. Aliabadi broke down the Jada device, a uterine balloon system, that was used to quickly stop the bleeding.

Life After Baby Jack

Beyond labor and delivery, Bieber covered life in the months after Jack's arrival, including a PMDD diagnosis (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), postpartum anxiety, breastfeeding and pelvic floor therapy; all with the same candor her followers have come to expect.

"Trust your intuition," she told listeners at the episode's close, a message as relevant for new mothers navigating postpartum recovery as it is for any woman trying to understand her own body.
