Flavor Flav is expanding his party plans

Days after the rapper extended an invitation to the U.S. women's hockey team to celebrate their gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, he now says the event will include other Olympians

Flavor Flav is doubling down on his Olympics offer.

The rapper and women’s sports hype man has expanded his invitation to the gold medal-winning U.S. women’s hockey team after they won at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Now he wants to celebrate “all United States female Olympians and Paralympians” who won medals by throwing a party and a parade in Las Vegas.

"I want to go bigger and better," Flav said in an Instagram video on Tuesday, Feb. 24. “I want to bring all United States female Olympians and Paralympians, the ones that won medals.”

In an interview with USA Today, Flav shared more details about the proposed event.

"I'm going to give them a parade, they're definitely going to have a parade," he said. "And then also, I'm going to see what type of entertainment that I can put together."

The Public Enemy founding member said that his event is meant to be a "real celebration."

"This is really for all athletes that's out there, busting their butt and doing a good job to make [the] United States look good," Flav, 66, said. "I want [the men] to be here, I want them to come out so they can help support their fellow women athletes."

The party invite comes after the women’s team declined President Donald Trump’s offer to attend the State of the Union.

In a congratulatory call to the men's team after their win over Canada in the Olympic gold medal game on Sunday, Feb. 22, Trump said, "I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team."

He added, “You do know that. I do believe I’d probably would be impeached [if the women’s team wasn’t invited].”

Flav was among those who were seemingly not impressed with the president’s invitation.

"The invitation that was given to the women, it was some type of mediocre invitation," he said. "So, I'm like, 'Hey, listen, it's okay. I'll give you guys a party. Don't even worry about it.' ”

This isn’t the first time that the “Fight the Power” rapper has fĂȘted female Olympians.

After the 2024 Summer Olympics, the father of four daughters celebrated the U.S. women’s water polo team with a party in Vegas, weeks after he helped fund their efforts in Paris.

“Brought some of the Team USA Water Polo Women out to Vegas,,, imma so proud of all these women,” he wrote on social media at the time. “Look at all the support and attention brought to this sport and women’s athletics. We changing the game and that is something BIG to celebrate.”
