Amy Slaton and her sister Tammy got their start on YouTube sharing their big personalities, makeup tutorials, and craft videos. Now, the 38-year-old mother of two is getting back to her roots.
The TLC star recently showed fans a different side of her life: her creative, crafty side. "Watch me craft," Slaton captioned a video of her creating a canvas painting under the moniker Amy Lovvorn Creations. In another Instagram post, Slaton shared the various art projects she has created since 2023.
"SO pretty," one Instagram user said on Slaton's initial post. "This one is awesome. Keep doing art."
In yet another crafty post, Slaton adds images of her two sons, Gage and Glenn, to her initial canvas creation.
"Wow! Love your creativity," one fan commented. Others want tutorials from Slaton on how to create their own similar artworks.
"How did [you] do the first pictures with the glitter?" one fan asked in the comments. "Is there a DIY?"
Crafting has long been a quiet refuge for many, including reality TV stars like Slaton. It's a way to slow down, focus and make something with your own hands. For her, it seems making these short videos have become a space to connect with fans in real time. They show that creativity isn’t about talent; it’s about enjoying the process!
See more from Slaton and the rest of her siblings in new episodes of 1000-Lb Sisters. Season 8 premieres Jan. 6, 2026.
