A Gila County wildfire has spread to more than 1,000 acres, with two communities evacuated.

The Linx Ranch and Victory Ranch communities were ordered to evacuate in the wake of the Steamboat Fire, according to Gila County Public Health & Community Service. The fire had burned approximately 1,500 acres as of about 9 a.m. on June 27.

Dripping Springs and Troy Ranch had evacuation warnings, according to Gila County. The website Watch Duty reported the fire was at 0% containment as of the morning of June 27.
